Handcrafted beaded jewelry: NEW IN 2021

Although 2020 has been challenging, it’s also been a year of reflection. I learned new things, which sparked development and growth. This birthed new ideas in all areas of my life, including my official handcrafted beaded jewelry collection, here at MamMaw!
So, if you’re looking for online handmade jewelry stores and handmade beaded jewellery at affordable prices, look no further! This collection also includes handmade earrings online.
In this collection, I’ve worked with talented artisans from across Africa. This includes Benin, Ghana & Nigeria.
We sourced unique designs made from organic waste materials, like fruit seeds, plastic bags, and cow bones!
We then upcycled them into beautiful pieces of contemporary jewelry.
What a load of rubbish!
We all know there’s a problem with mass waste dumped on this planet.
That’s why we’re so happy to play a small part in the solution, by curating this recycled jewelry line, just for you!
We also know that some may not like the idea of wearing waste as jewelry.
So we’ve made items for this too.
Throughout many countries in Africa and countries close to this region, various waste materials aren’t discarded as easily.
So instead, they’re recycled into jewelry, furniture, and more.
Plastic Bags
There’s a huge problem of discarded plastic bags on African streets and beyond.
So some of our artisans try to resolve this by using this plastic to create stunning jewelry with colourful beads.
Cow Bone handcrafted beaded jewelry
The cow bones used in our jewellery, are a by-product of food industry waste.
Cleaned and polished with a high-quality finish, this collection contains modern contemporary necklaces.
You would never guess it was a bone from someone’s plate!
Scrap wood handcrafted beaded jewelry
Furniture makers dispose of unnecessary pieces of wood all the time…
But this discarded wood is useful to the traditional handmade jewellery maker who intricately carves each bead from these scraps.
Fruit Seeds
Giant exotic fruit seeds are collected, cleaned, polished, and designed into distinctive-looking necklaces by our talented artisans.

We will be uploading new styles weekly. So if you would like to be the first to view the new pieces click here to be added to the priority customer list.
I look forward to sharing more of my ideas for making a positive impact through fashion on this blog.
Here’s to a wonderful year ahead,
Shantel MamMaw.
